barbie

was researching a bit on barbie and found these pictures of the multi-cultural barbies. i think these are the prettiest. unfortunately i didn't really like any of the hispanic barbies, i didn't think they looked human enough. they all had these highly artificial eyes. come on mattel, you can do better than that! for a much more complete list (including pictures) go to this site. for more info about barbie's history and such, visit here.

1. princess of south africa. i think she is like, the most beautiful barbie i've ever seen. i am literally captivated by her face. and i'm happy they used that color. normally when people of african decent are portrayed, it is with the lightest skin color possible, while still being able to pass as 'black'. 2. princess of china barbie! (strange considering china didn't have princesses) but she looks pretty good doesn't she? also very beautiful and i'm super pleased that she looks quite 'asian'. japanese barbie also isn't bad. 3. princess of the incas. also very beautiful. her neck is a bit small however, but i think that's all barbies? she reminds me a lot of kimora lee simons, who's picture is number 4.
