adventures

the trip up north was interesting. i can't say that it was fun.. but i did have some fun. ... yeah. it wasn't all that bad. eh. anyway, i ended up going wit ting for the middle half of the week. had i gone wit reepal it would've been the latter half. before i left i was struggling to decide who to go with. and even afterwards i can't say that i absolutely chose correctly. (sorry ting!)

wit ting it was great because we get along well and she's really... how to say... well, when other people displayed some interesting behavior, ting and i would look at each other and not make an issue of it. and she's more opinionated than reepal about some things so it was easier to decide wat to do the next day. oh! and she cooks and cleans! she made fajitas for us one night. they were yummy :)

wit reepal it would've been really nice because it would've been like a romantic trip or watever. and we haven't taken a trip wit just the two of us in a really long time. and altho i would've been able to listen to more 'rocky' music and had an awesome time singing parts we probably also would've had to have listened to his crappy music too. also because of reepal's nature, i sorta feel like he would've have gotten along wit allie as well as ting did because he wouldn't try to engage her in any way. ting, thank god, tried.

anyway, the trip. it was interesting. i think between the three of us lots of fun was had. i was pretty stresed out tho, trying to appease everyone (and the first day we were there my mom called me at least five times trying to get a hold of me, even tho i had already told her that there was very bad reception up there. allie had no reception at all!). it's also stressful to be wit someone who is sorta totally different from the 'normal' people you're used to. and it's really difficult being wit someone who always has to be right. and if they don't get their way they throw a fit. and don't huff 'it's fine!' and not even bother to pretend that it really is. it only makes everything more uncomfortable. but oh well. it was really interesting to be wit someone who confronted my sterotypes of that culture. ..oh! and i learned how to play two games i already knew how to play in totally different ways. cool. :) and ting? i messed up! in mahjong there is 16, 13 and 12 tiles. and 12 tiles is the hardest, not 13! 12 is the one mahjong pros play. doh!
