facing facts

in news that really isn't news: people of another race find it harder to read your face. basically, to whites, all asains look alike. to asians, all blacks look alike. to blacks, all caucasians look alike. well, uh, thanks for the update...

and mcdonald's asian salads are really starting to take off. when i first heard about these 'asian' salads i was a bit irked. i mean, asians don't eat salad. so wat would one put into an asian salad? mandarin oranges, appt. ...no, seriously. ... anyway. but appt mcdonald's asain salads include edamame, snow peas, red bell peppers, toasted almonds (in reference to our eye shape? lol!), mandarin oranges, and orange flavored chicken. this all topped with a sesame ginger salad dressing. and funnily enough, it does sound pretty 'asian'. anyway, back to me being a little offended. but i realized that french fries aren't from france, belgium waffles aren't from belgium, danishes aren't from daneland (or denmark, for that matter) and swiss cheese ain't from switzerland. okay... so i don't actually kno these foods aren't from those countries, but anyway, you get the point!
