talking about china always makes me happy. :) anyway, so on our trip to chengdu we went to ermei shan. we got there sunday early afternoon and spent the night there. the next day we (having joined a tour group) took a bus up the mountain. we ended up having ridden a train thing, a lift thing (a real kind, not the british kind), a bus (obviously), and a rickshaw thing (twas not that comfortable! but so fun!). we also hiked a lil.
one: temple. two: another temple (on second highest peak if i remember correctly). three: prayer locks on chain (gray thing is post). four: statue that looked vaguely hindu. five: view when walking down mountain.
i didn't get any pictures of this.. but we also saw some monkeys that day. lol. the tour guide lady was talking about them and saying that they were dangerous and such. i was translating to emily, vic and matthew and thinking that i must not be understanding her chinese. but lo and behold, it was monkeys. i didn't get any pictures for fear that they would grab my camera. but anyway. we ended up watching a monkey couple have sex. yup. twas gross. grossest thing was after the lady monkey had run off. the dude monkey grabbed his er... cock (lol, animal humor) and proceeded to uh... wipe off some white stuff (his or hers i don't kno) and eat it. yes. lol...
