chengdu

the last week of my teaching assignment we got off. so a few of us decided to go take a trip. to make a long story short, we went somewhere we weren't planning on going and got hella lucky and everything just sorta worked out. anyway, chengdu is where we ended up. our trip was about four days. we arrived by overnight train. we then left and spent two days out of the city at some mountains and such, i'll post those pictures later. our last day we went back to town and hung out there until our plane ride back to xian.

picture one is of the three of them round 5.30am at the train station. picture two and three are of the green ram temple. the oldest and largest taoist temple in the area. and the last picture is of matthew and vic on a row boat in some lake in people's park (emily didn't come row wit us). this side trip was easily one of my favorite times in china.
