cake stands
with food, taste isn't everything. you most likely see it before you eat it so good presentation helps! (i keep thinking about cake stands because we went to abbot kinney a few weekends ago and saw a shop that was filled with beautiful things, including cake stands. wish i had taken pictures!)

you say that store was filled with beautiful things, but the sad thing is, what i remember of that store: SHEER claustrophobia and a scary clown thing at the register. interesting how things come off differently btwn people, right? but those are lovely cake stands! esp the middle and left one.
wow, i don't remember the scary clown thing at all! tho i too had some feelings of claustrophobia but i was really just worried that if i bumped into something i would have to pay for the damage. and those cake stands were REALLY expensive!
msybe its better you don't remember the scary clown thing...
