polar opposites

my mom takes the metro to work everyday so she leaves her car at the park and ride in the mornings and drives back every night. early last week she went back to her car and saw a note on it. apparently it had been in a hit and run!

so shortly after she left the car, someone tried to park next her, hit the car instead, and drove away. a lady saw the incident and wrote down a partial license plate number and left a note for my mom. then she went to work and typed up a more detailed note. when she came back after work she saw that my mom's car was still there, so she went around the parking lot and found the other car, wrote down the full license plate number, make and model of the car and left this new note on my mom's car. she also left her office phone number. isn't she the coolest ever?

btw, i took the prius to two body shops and the dealer for estimates. $1600, $2k and $2600. that's a pretty big difference! the damage wasn't really that bad either i feel like. there's a scratch from the middle of the front passenger door all the way through to the back bumper. but really, it looks like all of it on the doors can be buffed out. except they did screw up the hubcap and the bumper pretty bad. my main thing tho, is why the hell is this scratch so damn long! was the driver asleep when they tried parking?! eesh. anyway. the point of my story is that the lady from the parking lot is awesome!
