i think kate's dress was beautiful, very fitting for a princess in today's times. i didn't much like bustle or the train, but i think it was very appropriate for a royal wedding.
okay, so i don't really care that much about kate or the wedding or whatever. i'm not british. and while they couple is coming to los angeles, i'm more excited about what it will do for the local economy than anything else.
what i'm really posting about is how i hope her style will influence women here. i've recently been watching a bit of say yes to the dress (i know, i know, but it's on when i eat lunch and i do love clothes so eh), and i'm surprised by how many brides say that they want to look sexy on their wedding day. and i don't mean a little sexy. cause i think kate's dress was pretty sexy. it has a lowish v-neck and the waist is very fitted. but some of these dresses.... they have see through bodices with the cleavage cut down to the bottom on your boob! it's crazy! but everything has it's time and place, you know?

I love say yes to the dress. I'm also pretty shocked by what people are looking for and with the budgets ($5,000 being difficult to work with? wtf?).
t and i went to alfred angelo so she could pick up her bridesmaid dress. i went to the wedding dresses to check prices cause i was confused. i remember you and g both paying less than $1k, but on the show less than $2k is "really cheap"! i only looked at a couple gowns, but all had beading or lace and they were all under $1k. so i guess kleinfelds is more higher end. but sheesh! some of these ladies want to spend $10k+ on a dress they're gonna wear only once; it's nuts!!

@angel omg yeah, $5k on a single dress for a single day is ridiculous! tho i guess kleinfelds is higher end? i went to alfred angelo's with t the other day to pick up her bridesmaid's dress and while i was there i checked prices. i only looked at 5 wedding gowns, but they were all under $1k. i also was sure to look at the fancy ones with beading and lace with poofy skirts, not just the plain ones. whew!
