where the wild things are

i loved the book as a kid, and when i heard it was being adapted for a movie, i was scared. but when i saw the preview, i knew, just knew, that i was going to love it. spike jones, arcade fire, the images, the costumes, the font. that font! the letters with fur and feet and teeth!

and now i've tracked it down. it's done by a guy named Geoff Mcfetridge, and dammit if his other work isn't also amazing. Enjoy!

new years resolution

yeah, it's march already, whatever... for this year, my new years resolution will be to not buy too much of anything that i don't need, unless i really want it. lol. but seriously. having no job means that i need to be more careful with my money. so i'm going to give up shopping (makeup, clothes, books...), unless i really want it. i've never been too frivolous with my money so if i see a really deal on something i've been wanting anyway, i'm going to get it. but no more with buying extra things (books or shoes, for instance), and definitely no more stocking up (on lotion or hand sanitizer)... basically, i'm going to cut down on my consumption.
