so on our trip to chengdu we went to leshan and then ermeishan. these pictures are from leshan, home of the largest stone carved buddha in the world. we took a ferry to see it properly but ultimately a game of rock.paper.scissors decided that we would not climb it.




picture one is of the great buddha and the stair leading up to him. picture two is of the great buddha himself. picture three is of the buddha and a 'mini' guy. picture four is of the mountainsides. in the second er... protrusion? you can see the stairs leading up to the carvings.
